Estelle Jung (she/her) is a 24-year-old based in Manhattan dedicated to spreading appreciation for the arts and humanities. Her mission is to curate a "world-class portfolio of magnum opuses of which evoke sentimental value".
Her passion for the arts and humanities stems from childhood as she was regularly exposed to literature, classical music, history, philosophy, and the fine arts through her mother. From an early age, her mother serenaded her children with the piano, playing compositions from Bach, Chopin, and Tchaikovsky. She collected vintage bone China tea sets from various English manufacturers (n.b., Spode and Wedgewood) and novels from the likes of Plato to Hemingway. Whether Estelle went to see Virgil Abloh's Figure of Speech exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago or The Magic Flute at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, she found peaceful solitude within these experiences. During her time at UCLA, Estelle minored in digital humanities, a study at the intersection of digital technology and the disciplines of the humanities. Other notable coursework vis-à-vis the arts and humanities at UCLA included: ART HISTORY 27 (History of Aztec Art); FILMTV6A (History of American Motion Picture); PHILOS 7 (Introduction to Philosophy of the Mind); and ARCH&UD 10A (Histories of Architecture and Urbanism I). In her free time, Estelle practices meditation, enjoys traveling, and loves to read. She is also a young patron of the Metropolitan Art Museum of New York's Apollo Circle.
